In New York, Bloomberg volunteers came together across 2 weeks to pack 500,000 meals. In partnership with US Hunger, these meals will be distributed to local neighbors in need by our nonprofit partners: CityHarvest, Riverfund, and NY Common Pantry.

A coalition of residents, workers, union members and advocates opposing the Amazon warehouse in North Andover rallied and heard speeches to protest the controversial Amazon’s 3.6 million square foot distribution center slated to be built in North Andover. The coalition wants Amazon to improve working conditions at its facilities as well as pay area standard wages and benefits and hire locally for its construction. Protesters and concerned citizens are also worried about environmental concerns, an increase in traffic a decline in air quality.
