I spotted a Heron perched on a gatepost while out for a walk to Blackness. It was a fair distance away so having that extra bit of reach with the 5x zoom lens on the iPhone really came in handy.

The image today was taken early this afternoon in the Keresley area of Coventry. The view is of the Parish Church of St Thomas. Constructed in about 1842 the Church was built in quite an old style so it does look much older than it's 174 years.

The photo was taken using the app 645 Pro on my iPhone 6.

First I used the app Snapseed to edit the photo. I Cropped and Straightened the image and applied the Tonal Contrast filter. I then boosted the Contrast, Saturation, Ambiance and Warmth. I also decreased the Highlights and added a little extra Structure to the image. Next I used the app Mextures to apply the formula called Dark Forest by Ryan Olde. I then used the app DistressedFX to add the Stirred overlay and the Lazarus texture. Finally I used the app PhotoToaster to add the Backlit preset, the Vibrant FX and an Large Dark Vignette. I then applied the Scratched texture and the Shadow II frame.

Today's image was taken in the village of Berkswell. The view is of one of the quaint old buildings that forms the heart of the village. I think that it is called Beehive Cottage.

The photo was taken using the app ExposerGL on my iPhone 6.

First I used the app Lightroom mobile to edit the image. I applied he Dynamic Colour preset. Then I changed the white balance and added a little extra clarity and noise reduction. Next I used the app DistressedFX to add the Stirred overlay and the Lade texture. Finally I used PhotoToaster to add the Recover Highlights preset, a medium dark vignette. I then added the Slate texture and the Burlap frame.

Today's image was taken early this afternoon in the Crypt of the Grade I listed St John the Baptist Church in the Village of Berkswell. The view is of the doorway to the Crypt and the stone steps that lead down to it the the main floor of the Church above. The crypt is the oldest part of the church with part of it dating back to Saxon times in the 8th century.

The photo was taken using the app Camera Awesome on my iPhone 6.

First I used the app Snapseed to edit the picture. I cropped the image and applied the Tonal Contrast preset. I then decreased the highlights and boosted the Contrast, Saturation and Ambiance. I then sharpened the picture and added a little Structure. Next I used Mextures to add the Wet Plate 2.0 formula by Jordy Van Solm. After this I used DistressedFX to add the Cole overlay and the Vanilla texture. Finally I used PhotoToaster to add the Contrast preset, the Drama FX and an Extra Large Dark Vignette. I then added the Old Paper texture and the Antique frame.

Apps: 645Pro, Camera+, Superimpose, Tangle, Retouch, DistressedFX, PhotoCopier

As always, a photo each day for 365 days. All shot and edited using Apps on my iPhone 5.

The photo was taken using the camera App KitCam for iPhone and saved as a TIFF file before any editing. The original image can be found below.

First of all I used Snapseed to edit the image. The edits were made by cropping the image into square. I then applied a Drama filter. Next I used the App called Wood Camera to apply a Texture called Aquatic 1 to the picture. I then used PicFX to add the Bokeh light effects and some more texture. Finally I used the App Distressed FX to add extra texture to the image using the Cole overlay and the Vanilla Texture.

The original photo was taken this evening overlooking some waste ground not far from where I live.

Thanks for stopping by - big appreciation for your faves

and kind comment if you decide to leave one.

Iphone6 pic edited with reflect, stackables, distressedfx and snapseed.

For this dreamy morning effect, I started with a 2017 image of bird ladened tree taken in fog. In Snapseed I lightened the image, then added contrast by writing a new set of curves. Last step in Snapseed was applying the drama bright 2 preset. To give the tree a soft effect I used Brushstokes, picking N1 preset as my favorite. In DistressedFX I used just peachy at 70% and dusty at 60%. I finished by adding vignette 50 in Snapseed and hard cover border in Formulas.

iPhone 4s default camera. Processed with RePix, DistressedFX and LoMob.

Today's image was taken in the Wyken area of Coventry. The view is of St Mary Magdalene's Church. The Grade I listed Church was originally built in the 12th Century, making it one of the oldest surviving buildings still in use within the City of Coventry boundary. Of the original building only the main doorway, the nave and chancel survive. The tower was added in the 15th century, as was the roof of the nave. The rest of the church was restored in the 19th century including the addition of the spire to the tower.

The photo was taken using the App KitCam on my iPhone 6.

First I used the app Snapseed to edit the picture. I cropped the image, then I added the Tonal Contrast, HDR Scape and Glamour Glow presets. Next I used the app Mextures to add the preset called Afterglow by Evan Lane. After this I used DistressedFX to add the Citrus overlay and the Lade Texture. Finally I used AltPhoto to add the Creamy Highlights Colour Film preset and frame.
