Unreal Engine 3 version

-----

A very late and final upload for Mind: Path to Thalamus. I was looking through folders and realized I forgot to upload this earlier. Anyway, there are two versions of this game which means a few different levels and endings. Current "Enhanced Edition" uses Unreal Engine 4 and there is no free camera available as I found. I personally prefer the Unreal Engine 3 version mainly because of its incredible final chapters.

To play the original old UE3 version, the simple directions are here from its Steam discussion page.

To Dissolve Everything Means To Abandon Oneself.

The Intimidation And The Muzzle By The Media Is Alarming.

The Naivity And The Unprofessionalism Too.

Winnats Pass, Castleton, is a long collapsed limestone cave system. The name Winnats is short for 'Windygates' and on a windy day you will see why it came by that name, for the wind seems to swirl around everywhere.

The 'pass' part of the name is something of a misnomer - Winnats is a steep-sided limestone valley with cliffs on all sides, which climbs out of the Hope Valley onto the limestone plateau area above. The valley was created by the action of water eating away at the limestone rock - water gradually dissolves the limestone and the streams tend to find their way underground by gradually enlarging the natural cracks and fissures in the rock.

Title is from an equally ambient song of the same name by Mick Gordon.

I may return to this someday to work on that dissolve effect.

When loneliness comes stalking, go into the fields, consider the orderliness of the world.

Dissolving morning fog gradually reveals the scenic contours of the Amper Valley. The sun is already showing strength in the foreground while it still takes some time in the distance, so I had enough time to make this picture with the pixel shift technique to gain more color and motif details to be able to make a large print later.

A few shots overlooked from the original set from Fistral ThunderCats down at Newquay. The beach there is spectacular with waves crashing in which made the boats lively when hit head-on.

Sadly I believe the ThunderCats Racing company was dissolved in 2019 so think that was an end to a fantastic era. However I have since found a new series in 2021 with the original CEO Fiona Pascoe so good to see ThunderCats were still racing more recently.

I certainly had a super time capturing some of their amazing abilities. The boats are 50hp Tohatsu powered inflatable series and can travel up to 70mph.

To be in the air some 10-12 feet above the water and the inevitable crash down to the sea when seconds later it hits the next wave is scary stuff even for the hardened pilots. What a sport.

The former village of Kimbolton is in Guernsey County Ohio. Its population was 190 in the 2000 census. In March 2004, the electorate voted to surrender the corporate powers of the Village of Kimbolton to the trustees of Liberty Township. The village was officially dissolved on April 30, 2005.

Tiny bubbles on the pond’s surface may indicate excess DO levels. (DO = Dissolved Oxygen)

Just as we need oxygen to live, fish and other pond inhabitants require adequate oxygen levels to respire.

In ponds, oxygen is present in its dissolved form. It enters the pond system in many ways – by diffusing through the water’s surface, via wave and wind action, and through photosynthesis. Productive ponds, with high biomass, can quickly deplete dissolved oxygen levels in the absence of a mechanized pump or aerator.

Mono Lake is believed to have formed at least 760,000 years ago, dating back to the Long Valley eruption.

Tufa is a rough, thick, rock-like calcium carbonate deposit that forms by chemical precipitation from bodies of water with a high dissolved calcium content. Tufa is not to be confused with tuff, which is volcanic.
