Here the male Ruddy Duck in breeding plumage is engaged in a courtship display where he slaps the water at an incredible rate, perhaps 10 times per second. A shutter speed of 1/240 s. did not begin to stop the bill from blurring. Taken at a small pond south of Mono Lake. The Ruddy Duck seem to prefer the company of Coots to that of other ducks, especially when breeding.
Just an example of how the photos were displayed. I don't recall how many photo walls like this were set up, but there were maybe 20?

The Waipu Museum, or The Cape Breton Museum, as some Cape Bretoners refer to it, tells the story of the migration of Scottish people from the Scottish Highlands to Pictou in Nova Scotia, Canada, and then from St. Anne's Bay, Cape Breton, to Waipu, New Zealand, under the charismatic direction of Norman McLeod.
