This lamp was prepared for the project by Disha. Disha is a charitable foundation started by young IT engineers. I have been part of this for sometime. They have been supporting students who are only financially poor but rich in knowledge through many ways. I found something relevant to this pic and the foundation's thought, a lamp no matter how beautiful it is, gets its real beauty only when its lighted, and these people are striving hard to light the maximum lamps they can, the more the lamps the more beautiful the world is. The secretary of this foundation is Mr. Ravi, and one of the lines that he mentioned when I met him was "I don’t want the ppl to coin the term "service" for such deeds. Instead say it as passion or venture!". How true!!!

I wanted to design a model except from kusudama and modular star and I came up with this result. This model is folded from 18 modules, without glue . Each unit needs only 2 folds ... :)
To get larger Orb, more modules can be added ...

I named this model after "Shweta", because it reminds me the gracefulness of pure white and in Bengali language, it means "White" ... :)
This flower is a single sheet of origami model folded from a 10 x 10 cm square sheet of paper, without any cut and glue ... :) I always prefer to finish model with little bit of curler touch ... :)
