Recent discussion around the railfan community of the two C&NW painted locomotives that had (until now) been "stored" at IRM in Union, IL got me to looking back through my archive.
Sure enough, on Sept 3 when I was there, it turns out I had snapped a few shots of them, including this one I shot while riding on the trolley loop.
I obviously had no idea at the time that they would be pulled from the museum or certainly I would have spent more time getting some detailed shots of them. Perhaps I should have anyways...

Yesterday was like being roasted in an oven, "feels like" temps were 103 all day. It was surprising the number of people that showed up to the show. Thanks that people have strong interest
Was it the shed development, the capability of the Welsh coal or perhaps that afternoons footie game? I guess we will never know the topic of their conversation.
GWR 7802 Bradley Manor is seen running round it's train at Bridgnorth last Sunday afternoon.
Like so many of Britains preserved steam locomotives 7802 was acquired from Woodham Brothers Scrapyard in South Wales. She spent 14 years rusting away and then upon movement to the Severn Valley Railway a similar length of time under overhaul and renovation.

Colas meets Arriva at Rhyl, 19 November 2017.
Just as an aside, in these energy saving cost conscious days, why are the lights on? At one in the afternoon? When the line is under a T3 and there's no passengers?
*Sigh*
