Freightliner Class 66/9 No. 66556 passes through the shed at Frome station on the rear of 6Y15, the 16:00 Fairwater Yard – Slough West engineers working on 22nd September 2021. Class 66 No. 66951 was leading the train and it is worth pointing out that non-passenger trains are extremely rare on the Frome station loop.

Compositionally Challenged Week 2 - What's in your kitchen drawer?
While rummaging around the kitchen for Macro Monday Pareidolia, I discovered an old cat laser toy in the junk drawer. We haven't had a cat in the house for 3 years, lol.
This is a possibility for MM.
Finally my "flowers" photo. First I wanted to shoot it outside, but yesterday I was inspired and I took a lot of photos. For the first time I liked more than one photo, and eventually I'll post others this week. It was the first time that I played a little bit with focus. I discovered that sometimes a blurry photo has more charm that a focused one.

Altho they're getting bigger & more independant, the 3 youngsters - Bonnie (black, 11 months), Eddie (tabby, 6 months) & Charlie (tuxedo, 6 months) - have discovered that sleeping in a heap is a good way to keep warm.
Over time I discovered that, with the passage of time, every form of art, whether writing, painting, music, sculpture, becomes simpler by the hand of its author.
It is as if from birth, each of us, self complicates life with restlessness, anger, unhappiness. As if it were so difficult to understand who knows who or who knows what. Then, as a lighting in the mind and, as we age, the words become simple, the linear signs, the stylized figures ... everything takes the essential form ....
But will it be an arrival or a surrender?
Who knows, in any case, if it makes us feel better, let it be....
PS Maybe it's better when I work incessantly and I do not have time to think : ))
I find the piece of music I found very beautiful, I do not know, I think I started from this piece, and then I get to this image, I hope you like it as a beginning for a new year together.
Good new beginning to all of you
Thanks for your recent visits, favorites, comments and invitations, everything is very much appreciated, as always....

The Omori Silver Mine area flourished as a key town under direct shogunate control, central to about 150 villages. Discovered in the 14th century, the mine peaked in the early 17th century, exporting silver overseas. The townscape stretches about 2.8 kilometers, preserving historic sites such as the magistrate’s office remains, samurai residences, temples, and cemeteries, conveying the town’s mining heritage.
This is thought to be the grave slab of St Ragener. Tradition has it that King Edmund and Prince Ragener were taken prisoner by the Danes following a great battle in 870 and Ragener buried at St Peter’s church – the predecessor to the present church. By the 11th century, a servant of the priest went of pilgrimage to Rome and on his return was told in a vision that ‘a friend of God’ lay buried beneath the church. Sure enough, they discovered a grave in which a scroll claimed its occupant was Ragener, and a sufficient number of miraculous cures were recorded that Ragener became a saint. Whether or not the grave was indeed Ragener, this is by all accounts a grave slab of the period, and intended for someone of great substance. This is at the foot, inverted so you can see there is rather a sweet horse or donkey.
“I just want to live in a world of mountains, coffee, campfires, cabins, and golden trees, and run around with a camera and notebook, learning the inner workings of everything real.” -Victoria Erickson
This quote pretty much sums up my dream life!
Notebook from Homespun Harros, bandana from Reclaimed Life Texas (Etsy).
On our recent trip, we took in the evening over Discovery River with the forbidden mountain in the distance and the River of Lights glowing.....then we made a dash to Pandora for last ride of the night.

Opulence Discovered
Today we will take a look at a very large mansion worth about $11 million!! It was last listed in 2014 for $7.4 million and the listing was removed only a few short months later!! The home which sat on more than an acre of land in a very prestigious neighbourhood was bought a number of years ago for an undisclosed amount of money. It was demolished in 2018 and last I checked the new even larger house that is replacing it is still under construction!
With over 6000 square feet of living space this home was extremely large. No expense was spared when it came to the finishings and the design. The home had a stone exterior with 4 concrete porches, Scarlet O'Hara grand staircase, marble tile flooring in the the foyer and hallways, lots of hardwood throughout and high ceilings on all levels!!
I was not terribly excited by this home when I visited but looking back on this explore, it was a real gem and I'm glad I was able to see it. My only regret is that it was a short visit and I only have a few photos to show you from this large mansion!!
I do not have a video from this explore but if you like you can take a look at my most recent post from this other $5 million dollar retro mansion!!

I discovered on Google Maps that this used to be a local Saab dealer. Taken from the car; the dark spot on the sky in the upper right is dirt on the car window.

Made it into Level Event, after two days of trying...WHEW! Grabbed the Fatpack of this dress by Astralia, and it is WORTH it. Multiple colors, textures, two different cutouts, and a sparkly effect layer! Pics do NOT do this justice, you need to demo to see it. And then good luck trying to pick just one...bwahahahaha!

Actually discovered first by my dog Misha in the canoe that she focused on this beaver that was eating something on a rock, possibly some sort of aquatic plant. We viewed it from a distance after sunset so I hade to paddle closer through ice and had about 30 seconds to photograph with a 10,000 iso as it was after sunset (pink reflections on water). Somewhat poor definition due to the darkness and ongoing movement of the canoe due to the heavy wind but enough detail to prove what it is. I’ve photographed beavers in the past but they typically jump back into the water when we paddle close to them. This is a unique capture, another view below…
Info from their website:
Grenada Distillers Limited the island’s best-known and largest distillery and one of the most interesting historical sites. The factory has been in operation since 1937, and is situated in the southern part of the island, in the Parish of St George.
When you arrive you would be welcomed by one of our friendly and knowledgeable tour guides, who would explain our history and all the different processes and stages of making our fine rum. You would learn of the distilling process from sugar cane, syrup and molasses, to rum, and also the aging, blending and bottling processes of making rum. On tour you would also get the opportunity to discover old steam engines, some dating as far back as 1886.
The tour of the factory lasts about fifteen minutes, after which you would be escorted to our Hospitality Center, where you will see our unique Barrel Furniture and an interesting display of the Clarke’s Court products. Last but not least, you are invited to sample our award-winning rums at the sample bar. You would be given recipes on different ways you can mix our rum and truly appreciate the taste of our fine products.
I guess a rum distillery is a must for any visitor to the Caribbean.
