I've bought the yellow helmet last year at the BAM stand in the Lego shop in Berlin, and always wondered why it looks weird, and so much worse than the green one that came in CMF series 19.
I then took the calliper and found the green one to be 13mm wide, whereas the yellow was 14.5mm - that's 11% more! No wonder it looks so odd and bulky. Next step was to take a scraper and carefully take off some of that material - not too much, because it's a two-coloured casting and I don't have the right yellow laquer at hand. It's varnished with a bit of transparent nail polish..
Toy Project Day 3540
A pro biker doing his thing .. 2sb flashes on either side, the one on the right was covered with a orange gel, triggered via pocket wizards. By the end of this session i was pretty much covered in muck.
Me and Trevor stop for a quick pic before heading out. It was his first time ever riding but he kept up with the group and only ate it a few times.
I recieved the 42007 Dirtbike yesterday as a reward for my cube.
But i had the feeling it could be done better, especially the suspension. So I took it apart for a serious overhaul.
