Shadow Darner . Catching these erratic flyers is a challenge first to achieve focus and then to keep them in frame. This one had a circuit which involved hovering about 10 feet in front of me for a couple of seconds before dashing off in random directions. I waited and waited and was finally rewarded

I was visited Maastricht in one fine evening. On the way to Maastricht, I was very excited to see this beautiful city. I met many friendly people in the train .They even translated the announcement from train officer and they helped me to take the right train to go Maastricht. I am very appreciate of this friendly people.
After coming out from the Maastricht station, I was unable to locate the place I wanted to go. I was standing infront of the map and tried to locate the place I wanted to go. At that time, one gentleman approached me and asked me " Do I need his help". I was suprised by this friendly gentleman.I appreciate him for his help and friendly manner. He showed me the way to go the place I wanted to visit. I always have a great time in this beautiful country, the Netherlands.
Happy New Year's Day everyone!
My first photo of 2018 was just about to be of a huge and bright rainbow over the nice view where I live, but it sadly disappeared when I ran out with my camera : / So I'll upload this one from two years ago instead - also from where I live. We tried to photograph the fireworks far away (there are almost none where we live), and suddenly realized that the northern lights were there.
Last night we celebrated at my sister's place, with a fantastic view over the towns of Sandnes and Stavanger. It was amazing watching the huge amounts of fireworks in all directions. But of course it rained too much to bring the camera : /
My album of New Year images here.
