28 seconds, just enough time for a quick dip

Indy has a habit of going into any body of water and dipping up to his shoulders in even the coldest of weathers.

I attended the Huff and Puff Balloon Rally this weekend in Topeka, Kansas. My first time to photograph balloons...so fun! Some of the balloonists would come over the tree line and drop down to take a dip in the lake...crazy! A gorgeous weekend, but foggy on this morning, so there is a hazy look across the lake.

Have a great Monday and a good week. As always, thanks for stopping by!

This is from Mark W in Kansas :

Touching the water is called a "splash-n-dash". Takes a lot of skill and a calm lake or river. This balloon is called Zero Zero 7 and is from Wichita.

Another go at some Infrared but on an infrared HDR this time! Generated the 3 IR exposures into an HDRimage before tweaking it. Probably doesn't matter much if it's an HDR image or not but thought i'd give it a try...

A pair of NS SD70ACes and a Dash 9 lead the 21T west through the countryside between Philo and Tolono, IL.

More backlight loveliness.

The spotless starling dipped his beak into the cool pond water, a mirror for the fading sunset. It had been a long, hot day of foraging. With a sudden, explosive energy, he submerged his chest and began to flail his wings, sending arcs of water silver high into the air.

He ducked, twisted, and soaked every last feather, feeling the dust and heat wash away. For a brief moment, the world was just motion and water, a perfect, invigorating moment of pure joy before shaking himself dry and flying off into the evening twilight.

Just another sunset

More from the engagement session. I can not stop my self.

The sun disappears into the waters of Little Traverse Bay and Lake Michigan at Petoskey, on one of the longest days of the year.

My beautiful wife enjoying weeknd getaway.

I just had to add another image today. I really liked how this one turned out. Found while going through some older photo's. You have to try really hard to get a bad photo of a flower.

Desapareció lentamente en el mar, internandose en las corrientes de agua y pasando a formar parte del oceano Atlantico.

Disappeared slowly into the sea, within the flow of water and becoming part of the Atlantic Ocean.

A Mink takes a cold dip into frigid waters.

The engineer of U741 starts to come out on the throttle on his pair of EMD's as most of his train as come out of the dip north of Rock and rapidly approaches the crossing in town where the train will crest another hill and start back down into another dip. It will be like this the whole way back to Escanaba.
