The small proportions heighten the enjoyment of anyone who enters Rand Babcock and Tony Nahra's garden room. Two skylights, one recycled cottage window, a pair of 8-foot French doors, lanterns and a chandelier add light and sparkle to the room. An oversize mirror reflects the garden’s greenery and serves as a faux window on a dark interior wall. On a warm summer night, as the sun sets, the scene is set for dinner with Jeanine Burke and Michi Suzuki, a couple in Babcock and Nahra's dinner group.

I repainted the armoire in a robins egg blue. This looks more baby blue but it's almost an exact match to Maine Cottage's "good egg" color swatch, which just happens to be the exact color of the hallway but in an eggshell.

The dining room is located immediately off the kitchen and is the perfect size for entertaining.

This dining room (opposite the kitchen) used to be the den. The master bedroom entry is closed off and we now have recessed lights.

Decorated with roses from the garden and some fresh fruits.

After first two coats on the floor. Tomorrow it gets sanded back, and the final coat applied.

It looks super-shiny because it's wet - it will be a satin finish.
