The couch and living room are just out of shot to the left. This window looks on to the street.
This dining table is so amazing, I saw it on Craigslist and knew it was the right thing. Our old one was was too small and isn't all that stable (it's now the coffee table). It has this great inlay cross that runs all the way down the legs. What I didn't know until we tried to take it apart to put it in the car is that it expands (you can just about see the split). There should have been a leaf, but it had been lost, so we had two pieces of plywood cut to size at Home Depot and sanded them smooth. With two pieces we can expand the table to sit either six or eight, although we have had 11 people around it! The plywood isn't pretty, but we just put a cloth over the whole thing.
I never understood what a runner was for until we had this table, I try to take care of it.
