Today we are going to talk about modern dining furniture because it is increasingly difficult to gather family or friends together for a meal at home.
Although this is one of the simple pleasures of life, we are always in a hurry and rarely have time left.

We made this Gorgeous Pallet Table Set with a vintage metal table and chair frame. We started by rescuing a beautiful but neglected vintage metal frame. The table dimensions are 37 x 36" & 30" tall.

After sanding and grinding the table frame, we did a final sand and painted it a gloss black. Next, we broke apart two pallets. We sanded the boards and then joined them side-by-side using glue and biscuits, but staggered the joint lines. Then, we painted some of the stripes to match the chairs we had done but left others natural. We think it turned out great, and it's a wonderful way to repurpose and upcycle.
From our spring equinox supper back in March. Craig brought smoked sausage from an acorn-fed Berkshire hog that he recently got half of. The cut & wrap was done by an Amish butcher who makes mighty fine sausage as well as a good ham. The blanched and dressed leeks with radishes were also from Craig. As is the hand.
