Recatosi a Costantinopoli per ottenere come d'uso, la convalida della propria elezione dall'imperatore Costante, Eustorgio era ritornato in patria con un regalo davvero augusto: le spoglie dei tre Re Magi, ritrovate -pochi anni prima- da Sant'Elena, madre di Costantino. Il 6 gennaio per festeggiare l'epifania, tutti gli anni la città festeggia con una processione capitanata dai Re Magi: parte da Piazza Duomo, fa tappa alle colonne di San Lorenzo per l'incontro con Re Erode e si conclude alla basilica di Sant Eustorgio per la deposizione dei doni al Presepio.
