Best to go LARGE

 

I reckon the government should switch off street lights during significant astronomical events. Give us all a chance to look up and wonder.

 

Anyway, took this while looking for Persieds metors. Saw three or four but a town is not the best place to do this. South West Cornwall is the best place I have found for meteor watching in the UK although I suspect Scotland and Wales would be pretty good as well. West of London is going to give you a stiff neck.

A Dim Sum restaurant in Downtown Chinatown. My friend LG tells me it's a taste adventure ordering from the carts instead of menus, to avoid preconceptions. The front door opens to a small lobby with a Concierge and this bank of two story tall escalators. The dining hall is at the top. I forget where it is.

Indignant beats our hearts,

yet reason rendered them deaf.

ear to chest—where longings are.

A dream breaks loose the chains we wear—

open your arms and draw me

to your care.

 

Yet so dim the sun shone upon our brow,

we could not feel how lost we were,

how wind and wave did sweep and stir,

in storm and pouring rain unbowed—

we could not grasp what fate allowed.

 

So dim the sun shone upon our brow.

Two bodies formed a single shape,

yet their world collapsed in violent break,

and hope had no escape—

no place to anchor now.
