The Digital Innovation Board is one of the three main vehicles of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Alliance for Digital Development, a flagship initiative of the Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT) of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). The newly appointed Digital Innovation Board and each of its esteemed Members will immensely contribute to shaping an inclusive digital future for all, as the Alliance aims to accelerate digital transformation by fostering local digital innovation and entrepreneurial capacities.
To kick-off the activities of the Digital Innovation Board, the inaugural meeting of its members took place on 19 and 20 March 2024 in Geneva, Switzerland.

Interesting article on www.wired.com/story/air-canada-chatbot-refund-policy/ regarding a blunder by a chat bot Air Canada’s website. In summary the chat bot ‘created’ a refund policy that not only didn’t exist, but that explicitly went against the official policy that the bot had been programmed with. The customers case was upheld and he was awarded his refund. The chat feature on Air Canadas webpage has been disabled for ‘reprogramming’ and is still not present at 9:30am on Monday the 19th of Feb.
