Lately SL has been shifting. People change, priorities move, and sometimes it all feels a bit chaotic. But moments like this… quiet, warm, shared with those I love (yes, even the furry ones) remind me why I stay. Don’t forget to pause and feel the peace.
Tim, Angie and Myself had a very impromptu shoot on the rocks today. We had a gorgeous and willing subject who put up with our jiberish and silly talk, Thanks P!

I returned from a brief trip to Panama and Mexico on December 17th. My suitcase returned on December 24th*. As I already had a week's worth of beard by the time my razor was returned to me, I decided (to Kel's dismay) to let it grow.

Sadly, for me, my picture kind of sucks. No one told me that Friday afternoon is "down time" at the market, with more than half of the stalls sans fish. The light is not really that remarkable, either. Oh, well. Eric, your fish market photo dominance is safe. For now.

Digital Still. Remains of Baldovan House Stable Block which was commissioned by Sir John Ogilvy, 9th Bt Inverquharity during 1832. The stable, walled garden and estate walls were designed and constructed by David I McKenzie in the 'ashlar rubble' style.

In “The Morning We Left,” I wanted to distill the moment right before absence settles in. A breakfast unfinished. A room too still. A sense that something just happened or is about to. The eggs, uncooked and broken, become a metaphor for interruption, for fragile ritual.
Rendered in a space that feels photographic but is entirely constructed, the piece challenges the boundary between memory and simulation. It asks whether something synthetic can still feel warm, nostalgic, or sacred and if the emotional residue of a scene can remain even when its reality is fabricated.

Artist Statement:
This image is about imperfect readiness. The figure is present but disconnected — not from the station, but from the timeline. The signs above glow with information he no longer reads. The train is both arrival and abandonment. I created this piece as an examination of modern stillness — not calm, but suspension. The hoodie becomes a barrier. The fog becomes a filter. The light, artificial and beautiful, feels both distant and immediate.
He’s not going anywhere. And maybe the platform never ends.

Artist Statement:
"Room Without a Dreamer" is about environments that outlive the people they were meant to hold. The bed is untouched. The light is clean. But it’s not peaceful. The tree outside is winter-barren, and the city has blurred — as though time passed, but the person never returned to experience it.
This is a portrait of stasis. A space designed for sleep that never got to witness waking. The black modular walls suggest soundproofing — or perhaps emotional insulation. It’s a chamber for someone who was never quite real. Someone who might’ve been… but wasn’t.
This piece lives in the same world as I Slept Through the Upload, but the subject is already gone.
