Love these elusive little red-eyed birds that tend to stay on the ground, feeding and hiding in around the edges of the yard. When one ventures above the ground and sits long enough for a photo, it makes it a good day.

This is Llyn Padarn and the mountains of Snowdonia.

Another from our stay in north Wales earlier in the year. Snowdon is beyond the picture to the left, already clouding over before our train journey up !

I'm in love with lakes and mountains - and with Welsh Male Voice Choirs. Here's a particularly lovely song, so full of love and tenderness. I hope you enjoy listening - just right click the link and open in a new tab. Thank you ! The words are in Welsh, but I understand that Myfanwy means "beloved".

Here, during the dark season it is wonderful with snow, giving light, and if we also get a sunny day, it's great to go out with warm boots and thick gloves on, some hot wine in a thermos to drink during a break. Just enjoy the beauty.

So, every thing started at the moment I saw the original photograph of those beautiful hydrangeas taken by my dear friend Richard Eshelby.

The digital painting is created from scratch in Corel Painter.

The background is the mixture of several textures, and the hydrangeas coming out of the frame are .png images.

No AI is used in this image.

There is a late medieval stone bridge in Alloway, Scotland that crosses the River Doon. It is very near the birthplace of Robert Burns who immortalized this bridge in his poem, "Tam o 'Shanter". The late afternoon light makes it appear that you cross this bridge into your dreams.

I have been experiencing a lot of frustration using Flickr over the last few weeks. For me, it has been very slow to download images and often leaving comments and even faves is problematic, so I must apologize to my Flickr friends for not being as active as I would like. After doing a little research, it appears that Smugmug, the new owners of the Flickr website, are working on renovations which in the long run will make Flickr a more enjoyable experience for all. In the meantime ... Aargh! So I must express my gratitude to all of you for your visits, comments, faves and inspiration! They are so appreciated!!
