C'era una volta una sposa innamorata,
trasformata in una sirena, da una strega cattiva cattiva...
L'incantesimo relega la splendida sposa nelle profondità
più oscure del mare...
l'unico modo per incontrare il suo amato,

On the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state where I live, there is a definite mid-October transition when mellow, glorious autumn sunshine wanes, and the rains begin; heralding winter and blowing the fallen leaves in a swirl.
Note: I used text prompt in Deep Dream Generator along with my own photo. and refinement in Topaz Studio to create this image.

To me, yellow Columbines are the epitome of good cheer. I love that special time in June when they bloom. This image is a digital painting done with Deep Dream Generator and Topaz Studio. It is based on a photo of Columbines that I took. They are blooming on my front deck.

I have walked this trail around the canal for many years. There have been times when the channel was so low in water that narrated tours have to be canceled because the ship is unable to sail. Sometimes it's almost flooded and on the coldest days of winter it freezes over. Still, it doesn't matter because I always enjoy the walk.

A heron stands motionless in one of the lakes at our local Nature Reserve. I stood and watched for quite a while, but he (or she) hardly moved, so great was the concentration required to catch something edible. This is one of the smaller lakes at Plantsbrook Nature Reserve, only a short distance away from home. Once again, I'm so happy to have had Marnie with me, she doesn't frighten wildlife and waits patiently while I take photographs 😃. She's the perfect companion.

So, every thing started at the moment I saw the original photograph of those beautiful hydrangeas taken by my dear friend Richard Eshelby.
So, the temptaion of painting the whole scenery from scratch in Painter was irresistible, but I didn't know what I was getting myself into. The whole digital painting took me 2 months to finish, yet it wasn't enough. I had to make e composition in Ps with that painting. So, this is the result. And, you can see the amazing original photograph in the link below.
The background is the mixture of several textures, and the hydrangeas hanging out from the frame are png images from google.
No AI is used in this image.

The bobcat (Lynx rufus), also known as the red lynx, is a medium-sized cat native to North America. The small tufts on a bobcat's ears are difficult to spot at even moderate distance. The bobcat is crepuscular, and is active mostly during twilight.

My Tree Peony must be at least 30 yrs old and has become quite sparse, but still produces magnificent blooms each Spring. She may be aged, but she still contributes to the garden's beauty.
