UNOPS worked with the government to modernize ICT equipment in public schools across Argentina’s Córdoba Province, helping create new learning opportunities for thousands of students.

 

As part of the project, UNOPS provided support to train instructors from the Ministry of Education on assembling new educational robotics kits. Teachers will then be trained on how to use them in the classroom.

VP Bambang Susantono on 17 September 2019 in New Delhi, India launched the Asia-Pacific Trade Facilitation Report 2019 with UNESCAP Executive Secretary Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana, India Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, and Confederation of Indian Industry Director General Chandrajit Banerjee. VP Susantono said in remarks that investment in digital infrastructure and policy efforts are required for enhanced connectivity.

“This is our project. It's called ‘Aqua Lluvia’. We started it about 3 years ago in 2023 after the school was flooded [...]. What happened? We thought, 'What we can do is reuse the water from that rain'. And that's when the idea of the garden came to us.”
