There's a scented candle inside in case you were wondering

I found this General Electric X500 digital camera at the dump a couple of days ago. Not just at the dump, but in the dump! I was able to fish it out of one of the steel bins using a stick.

It operates on four AA batteries and uses a standard SD card... and it actually works!

Newly won off eBay, this E-10 is in pristine condition and will be going to girlfriend Christina for her digital photo needs. The E-10 SLR is a 2001 vintage fixed-lens 4.0 MP, and although a bit slower than new "prosumer" models like the Nikon D50 or Olympus E-330, it still performs like a champ with pixel-free manual A/S/M images, clear telephoto, and great macro. $275 invested.

I would highly recommend this unit for 35mm shooters who want to try out a nice DSLR but don't want to spend $699 on the Rebel D, D50 or the Olympus E-330. Definatly a better investment than buying a FAUX-SLR Canon, Kodak, or Sony that you see at Walmart as this unit is an SLR shutter based pro camera with a hotshoe and many lenses available. Be warned, however, it is very very slow by todays standards, no faster than a shot a second.

Caught an absolutely gorgeous day last week in Rocky Mountain National Park. This photo was taken by my good friend Clay, but, I did quite a bit of postprocessing to it.

I've been wanting a camera with a longer lens so I can zoom in on distant objects. The 3X zoom of my A70 wasn't doing it for me anymore. After playing with an S5 at a brick-and-mortar big box retailer, I ordered everything online. The Canon PowerShot S5 IS, Case Logic TBC-4 case, and 4GB SanDisk SDHC card came from Amazon. The Hoya HMC UV filter, Hoya polarizer, 52mm adapter, lens cap, and lens hood came from Lensmate.
