I noticed the orange and green on the wings while it was flapping them. Wish I could got a flight shot. Lambertville NJ.
Taken at Tonal Isle, Lavender Lake Balloon Fest. A play on the famous quote about the Hindenburg disaster.

I was on a hike in the Nature, when I stumbled on this Beautiful Blue Flower, the Marsh gentian (Gentiana pneumonanthe), there was at least 360 of this Flower. Nobody of the locals with knowledge of the Nature did know of this. So it was a very happy find. Next Spring, I will be looking for the Butterfly Alcon Large Blue (Phengaris alcon) at the same place.
This Flower may not be perfect, it is about to die, but that is life and nothing is perfect.

Royal Tern (Thalasseus maximus)
We took the trip to Stone Harbor Point NJ. in hopes of the birds returning for their migration. There was a good variation. Still a little early, but it was a good day of birding. I got this shot while someone else was busy!
I took this photo during my morning walk.
It was shot with the PENTAX Optio S55, a model released back in 2005—over 20 years ago!
Is it just me, or does holding an old digital camera make you want to photograph weathered and rusty things?

Mr. Jeeves is one of the little guys that shows up daily for his peanut in the shell and pecan treats. They're all such a bunch of wonderful characters to observe.
And there are a few of them who actually seem to prefer to take the peanut directly from my fingers, rather than removing one from their large bowl. Truth be known, I prefer it that way too.
On this particular day, it was blazingly hot, so Mr. Jeeves decided to just drop and watch me for a bit.
L’Ajuntament de Maó instal·la , de forma provisional a la Plaça Constitució, l’escultura «Tre Cavalli», amb l’objectiu de què els ciutadans la puguin contemplar i aportar el seu punt de vista sobre la millor ubicació per aquesta figura donada per l’artista suís Nag Arnoldi.
Temps enrere es va plantejar que l’escultura es col·locaria a la rotonda que hi ha a l’encreuament entre la carretera de Sant Climent i el Camí de na Ferranda. Tot i això, des del Consistori s’ha cregut oportú sotmetre la decisió a l’opinió de la ciutadania, per tal que es puguin proposar altres alternatives, com ara en entorns urbans. Algunes de les opcions que també es poden plantejar hi ha l’Esplanada, als voltants de l’institut Joan Ramis i Ramis o la Plaça del Carme, entre d’altres.
El «Tre Cavalli» està feta en bronze i està inspirada en la figura del cavall. La intenció és que es pugui veure durant unes setmanes a la plaça de l’Ajuntament,temps durant el qual els veïns podran manifestar-se.
