After work tonight I scurried down to the Supernova Pop Culture Expo. When I got there, the sun had already gone down and the light was, well, a lot bloody darker than a supernova. Unless ofcourse a supernova is dark, in which case that was it exactly.
I quickly approached someone and asked to take their photograph which is something I'm not very good at doing (the asking that is - I find it quite easy to hit the button on my iPhone to take the photo). This lad was quite happy for me to do so, and put on a gas mask. Apparently this is in honour of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - a TV show I don't know of but I assume it's about tracking down people who wear sneakers without socks way too much. In 60 seconds, I snapped off a few frames of this guy, his mate (who had matching gas mask) and a bloke in a Halo, um, soldier thingy suit thingy alien thingy - anyway, he was in somethingy. I tried various processing thingies on my iPhone but liked this.
On a serious note, I nearly didn't post this because I was worried about the obvious imagery of Japan (which Benman 31 has already noted). This was people having fun and I don't want that to make light of the tragedy in Japan.

High times, yesterday. A huge plate of digestive biscuits, and a couple of doubles of warm Geritol. Just a wild party. I thought I'd go and take some pictures to straighten out. I was afraid my camera was broken, I couldn't find the hot shoe anywhere, and had to squeeze the whole thing to get the shutter to work, but on sober reflection this morning, I think perhaps I just had it upside down again.
Thanks for all the birthday wishes. It was a fine day. Linda had racing stripes painted on my walking frame, and the geriatric specialist sent me a card and a voucher for a free consultation. The local produce stand is even giving me a lifetime discount on prunes. Life is good.
