We got terminals of all form factors, brands and colors. It was very difficult to pair them with a valid charger and a working battery, but we managed to get many of them working.

The word I chose was luxurious. I find it difficult to approach non-objective art, so it took me a while to come up with the images for our ten qualities; some of those I chose were expensive, attractive, fancy and deluxe. From those images, I chose one from each word and translated it to clay. Working with clay was harder than I thought it would be. I had what I wanted pictured in my mind but when I tried to make it out of the clay, it was just not cooperating. After finally finishing up those ten clay models, I chose the one I thought best represented my word and created it out of wax. Last, working with the balsa wood was the most difficult part. I didn’t cope too well with the deductive process involved with this project, especially because I stayed away from angular edges and went with a curvilinear approach. I wasn’t entirely happy that my form, firsthand, looks like the letter S. Other than that, I enjoyed the painting process and feel that my color combinations do relate to my word. I chose purple because it is associated with royalty, green because it is associated with wealth and gold because it is associated with richness. Overall, I learned different carving techniques from this project, how to use a power drill and how to effectively approach wood sculpture.

There's a fine line between the topics that will make you feel better and those that will make you feel worse. More often than not... worse.
Difficult to see from the ground, this is a huge earth sculpture, made from coal shale. He represents the many ponies used in mines and the industrial history of south Wales.
Difficult to get a good N short. House behind (out of shot) is likely to cause some error locally to winds from NNW under certain conditions.
The tiny parking lot to Difficult Run Stream Valley Park. There were no empty spaces, and in fact a few cars were waiting for hikers to return and leave. There are no spaces on the road to park. If it's this full in winter, I can only imagine what it's like in summer. Fairfax County Park Authority needs to add more spaces, and while they're at it add a bike trail or bike lanes to the narrow and winding two-lane Georgetown Pike (Route 193). Fairfax County, VA.
Today's #run was particularly difficult. Maybe it's because I've decided to start measuring distance rather than time, maybe it's because I only did two of my three runs last week. • Whatever the reason I was struggling almost from the start and actually ended up walking the last 1/2 mile or so. While that might be good for a warm down it's not good for my morale. • I have been thinking it's time to add in some cross training throughout the week, on my 'rest' days. I've got #swimming penciled in for Tuesday's but that leaves Thursdays open. • What's the most productive cross training to help build my #running #stamina? Ideally not involving having to join a gym.... • #marathon #marathontraining #veganrunner #plantbasedrunner #runnersofinstagram #advice #runningadvice #trainingadvice via bit.ly/2NHiMtO
