this wondeful cuckoo is an intra african migrant and can be seen in SA only during australian summer.

as largest part of the cuckoos isnt so much interested to grow the family ,they prefer to parasite the other bird nests.

a family is too complicate and expensive...and finally sons are never happy about partents...

so cuckoos found the extereme solution :-))))

Indeed , it did not seem long to dig up the old drive ( hope he had the right address !! ) . A nifty little bit of kit doing a good job it seems .

I need one of those exotic things that holds your camera steady... a tripod? This (Santa Monica Ferris wheel) will be first on the list for one of those fancy long exposures. This isn't really that blue but happy blue monday anyway.

Im planning to start the build of a flash based website soon. Something super simple. I really like this guys site. Very clean and the full screen diddy is cool too. Hopefully I can figure flash out and have it done by the end of summer. Let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks.

A chart-topping, slightly retitled cover of a song originally written and recorded in 1963 in the USA. Its lyrics were adapted for comedic effect as a cadence call in the 1981 movie Stripes.

This single is one of a number I purchased from sellers outside the USA, just for the heck of it. Sadly, recent tariff policy changes have all but ended this practice.

You may recall seeing the dog-and-phonograph logo two days earlier, on the Equals single. Well after over a week indoors, I managed to get to the game at Craven Cottage on Sunday to see Fulham beat Sunderland FC 1-0.

I was determined to take a picture and here it is. No prize winner, but at least a photo after a barren spell.

Boats in the very misty harbour at Wells Next the Sea, North Norfolk on a June morning. On paper the harbour should of been filled with lovely warm glows from the sunrise at 4.30am but sadly on this occasion it was not to be. The whole of the coast was filled with sea mist with no real light coming through. I settled for this ethereal style shot of the little boat 'Diddy Fisher' taking centre stage.

Just back from a fabulous big cat Safari to Ngorongoro, Ndutu and Serengeti in search of the great migration.

If anyone has ever been to the Serengeti, especially the busy Seronera area, he will know how lucky you are, when you have a sighting like this without any other vehicle around.

Now, what can I say, we´ve been that lucky.

While other visitors where watching a bushbuck staring in one direction (a sign that there is a predator around), our guide said, that he heard a strange call of a guinea fowl.

So he said, let´s go there, they usually only call that way, when there is danger around.

What can I say, we drove 1 km and there he came.

Just for us. Saimon, our guide, was yelling and screaming from one ear to the other.

What a sighting!

Just to tell: in the morning we saw a leopard moving in the gras while exactly 50 cars were watching the cat (believe me, I counted!).
