*One week of Transport & Motion* Mon-Day 1

I had a few songs in mind, nothing came quite close, too many travel stories, too many ideas, one week of transport is not enough, I never got over the idea that SL is also a journey.

"It is only her in large portions of Canada that wonderous second wind,

the Indian summer, attains its amplitude and heavenly perfection, -- the

temperatures; the sunny haze; the mellow, rich delicate, almost

flavoured air: Enough to live -- enough to merely be."

- Walt Whitman, Diary in Canada

18/52 {Seasons 2019} My Diary

One of my old favorite books

Always a pleasure to read and see the beautiful drawings of this young woman, who lived in early 20th century in England

so this here is my first self portrait like this in about a year

photographic poetry is what I am going for here, I hope that translates

this is a depiction of the past few months - it may not make sense to you but it does to me

this is really very vulnerable and I am very tempted to delete it in a little while, but for now, I am very interested to hear what you think so let me know if you have a reaction

Hallway diary - 2010

I never shared this although I always thought it was a very emotional image, I felt that too much cleavage ruined the image so I never shared it.

It's been a mixed experience. The great thing is, it was not difficult to make it reduce and it worked. The disappointing - it didn't work well enough. The silk scarf above was dipped over ten times (lost count), once a day and then oxidized overnight. It looked much darker but a LOT of the blue washed out.

I had the same problem with thiox/caustic soda vat (it looked in perfect order but all colour washed out). Wondering if it could be our water... I was so determined to make it work one way or another but am beginning to give up on indigo... (*sigh*)

Another thing: it is not a very clear blue. Could the madder have influenced the colour?

Maybe I'll revive the vat later and dye some wool and cotton. (Just for he record: the cotton bag in this photo is still wet, it dried lighter.)
