Agribusiness Development Activity is aimed at the transformation from ineffective subsistence farming to commercial, profitable agribusiness through the disbursement of matching grants and the provision of technical and market information assistance. Grants are awarded through competition on the co-financing basis for the development of small value-adding enterprises, farm service centers, value chain and primary production in any region of Georgia. The project will help develop agribusiness and create new job opportunities.
CLOVIS - Land clearing of citrus trees has begun k in Clovis for the Harlan Ranch project, which is expected to become home to about 2,000 families, The trees are being mulched after they are knocked over and lifted into a shredder. The 410 acres are only part of the ranch property, located just north of Fresno in a rapidly developing area. The owners plan to send the shredded woof to a biomass facility for energy production. Central Valley farmers are under numerous burn restrictions due to stubborn air quality problems in the region.

These are a few pics I snapped at one of our Development Meetings. The team gets together about once a week to discuss anything that is new or needs to get done. They are really really productive and we all end up having a great time. Oh plus they get paid to be there. Holler.
