Photography scares the living daylights out of me sometimes. Sometimes I think the Native Americans knew something we didin't, with their belief that the camera can actually capture and hold onto a part of your essence. I think it is a much more sacred thing, especially when I develope a role and get and icon instead of a photograph. Call me crazy, ones like this have a presence.
It all began when a friend of mine gave me an used underwater disposable camera to develope. After doing the work, I managed to reload the camera with some expired Fomapan 100...here are the two best shots of the roll, developed in Rodinal 1+50. Film photography never lets you down !! :)
On February 22, 1984 Huron Hotel Limited Partnership I was formed to develope, operate and own a 100 room hotel (The Crossroads) with two restaurants (Festivals - all day dining and The Library - fine dining), one bar/lounge (The Caberat) and 7,000 sq ft of meeting space. The Crossroads Hotel and Convention Center opened in April, 1987. The general partners were: Richard L. Johnson (individual General Partner), Earl Nordby, James Zurbrigen, Stan Ward, Pat Prostello, Nels Olsen, Carol Erling, Gene Sibley, Effie Pugsley, Bud Maher, Jack Lawson, Jeannette Lusk, and Pete Mies.
Total Project costs were $6,658,000:
$5,458,000 for the hotel and
$1.200,000 for the parking facility and water, sewer improvements.
The sources of funding totaling $6,658,000 included:
Bond Loan: $2,000,000
UDAG Loan: $1,000,000
CDBG Loan: $200,000
Limited Partner Syndication: $1,958,175
General Partner Capital Contribution: $300,000
EDA Grant (for parking ramp): $700,000
Special Assessment Bonds: $500,000
The architect was The Durant Group, Dubuque, Iowa. The interior designer was PYA/Monarch, Minneapolis, MN. The bond loan underwriter was Juran & Moody, St. Paul, MN. The syndicator was Timmington, Meyer, Schram & Co. Counsel for the General Partners was Steffens & Wilkerson, Edina, MN. The feasibility study was done by Laventhol & Horwath, Minneapolis, MN.

... I had been keeping an eye on the sky. It was looking as if it was going to develope some nice color. I grabbed my gear, raced out of the house and headed for the river 8 miles away. As we all know- the color never lasts long so I was driving pretty fast.... until I saw the police car.... and he saw me. I knew I was had- so I pulled over before he had the chance to turn on his lights and hit the siren. He asked if I was in a hurry- I said, "Well- I was." He asked why and I explained about the sunset. He asked if I had ever gotten some good shots. I showed him a few prints that I happened to have along. Either he was impressed or felt sorry for me, "well- I don't want to hold you up- drive safe." And he turned and walked away- no ticket!!! Nice- it would have been an expensive one.... but it did make me miss out on the best colors- oh well... win some, lose some...

Final Outcome. Students used cardboard construction techniques to develope a self-portrait influenced by the works of Gabo. Acrylic paint was added to highlight shape, shadow and tone.

Doug Roberts (Paul Newman), Architect, returns from a long vacation to find work nearly completed on his skyscraper. He goes to the party that night concerned he's found that his wiring specifications have not been followed and that the building continues to develope short circuits. When the fire begins Michael O'Halleran (Steve McQueen) is the chief on duty as a series of daring rescues punctuate the terror of a building too tall to have a fire successfully fought from the ground burns.
This is my first shot with the Zenza Bronica ETR. I thought it wouldn't work, because the last film I let develope was unexposed, so I was scared that the camera might be damaged, but it seems that the film was waste.
The film is realy cheap as you can see, but after the first lavished film I didn't want to spend in an expensive test film.
Sorry for the quality, I just took a shot with my K20D + Tamron 90mm and croped.

sitting in an english garden waiting for the sun.
these are some vintage shoes from a shop in camden town. i don' t really like this photo but the fact is that in London i basically shot always with my film camera and i haven' t developed that roll yet . so this is one of my digital pictures which was passable. i' ll upload more from London when i' ll have some money and i' ll develope that roll. anyway i had a great time and i' m really happy and pleased with myself right now. and today it' s mine and my boyfriend' s eighth monthiversary which is a stupid thing, i know, but i' m an incurable romantic girl so yeah.
just another thing, i' d like to thank GIulia for her support and for being a beautiful person and photographer, J//G for all her favourites which i really appreciate, Sabrina for all her kind words, Marshay because she' s amazing and everyone else who follows me :)

Arctic Grayling (Thymallsu arcticus) pair in the act of spawning in a North Park, Colorado stream. The female, right, fans her tail as she lays roe in the depression or redd and the male drops milt, thus fertilizing the eggs. Her tail also covers this treasure for safety while the eggs develope.

This was a most beautiful and memorable sunset for me on many levels. Just being there this last fall with my husband and seeing this with him was amazing. Not to mention seeing it start to develope and getting to this spot and setting up my triipod etc. in time before it ended! There was one gentleman already there to my left. As I arrived he said I better hurry up before it was over. I set up and quickly composed my photo and got a few images before the spectacualr sight ended. It was a quick but beautiful sunset. Then I started to talk to the geneleman next to me and as we talked something told me he was someone, yet, he was very modest. It turned out that he was Vern Clevenger, a professional photographer from the area....and I knew and admired his work. To make a long story short, after talking, he said he would give me a copy of his book if I came over the next day to his gallery. He was holding a workshop, reviewing what they all had photograped that morning. But he stoped and took the time to get and sign a book for me....which I cherrish. So, like I said, this is a special photo to me on many levels.
