I was so excited when I spotted this quilt and recognised it to be fellow Etsian Ruth Designs. There were signs of no photography, but they kindly let me take a picture to show Ruth.

Designs by one of Germany's leading glass artists, Ludwig Schaffrath, for the north nave windows of the nearby church of St Martin, Linnich.
The nave of St Martin's is glazed with light, monochrome window, which nonetheless have striking contemporary designs woven into them. Those on the south side were designed by Wilhelm Buschulte and are completed, whilst on the north side only the east facing window of Schaffrath's scheme had been installed when we visited.

Moroccan designs at the Ceramic Factory in Fes. Their range was from the small bowl through to electric pumped fountains, but the large plates seemed to be the most eye-catching and specialty.
Unlike tour stops that were closer to family businesses, this ceramic factory had the educational and training side to it as well. It was really encouraging to see students practicing the pottery and mosaic trades when so much of the world now goes for perfect mass produced goods.

For Gustav Holst and Claude Debussy, the beauty of Earth and its surrounding planets inspired them not to collect data, but to compose music. Now, 100 years after the first performance of Holst’s “The Planets,” audiences had a chance to hear their music and see depictions of our awe-inspiring solar system simultaneously.
On Jan 27 and 28, the National Philharmonic Orchestra, in collaboration with NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, presented Cosmic Designs at the Music Center at Strathmore in North Bethesda, MD. In this marriage of music and space imagery, the orchestra performed Claude Debussy’s “La Mer” and Gustav Holst’s “The Planets.” Video producers at Goddard worked to collect depictions of our solar system’s planets, as well as Earth’s oceans to accompany the music. Using both satellite pictures and animations, this presentation illustrated tones in the music, making the audible narrative in the music come alive visually.

**Missouri State Capitol Historic District** - National Register of Historic Places Ref # 76001109, date listed 6/18/1976
Bounded roughly by Adams, McCarthy, Mulberry Sts. and the Missouri River
Jefferson City, MO (Cole County)
Jefferson City was organized around the Capitol complex. The topography is a series of river bluffs and rolling hills. The bluff promontories were selected as sites for the Capitol Building and the Governor's Mansion to lend prominence to these important structures. The town was oriented parallel to the Missouri River which at this point flows from northwest to southeast.
The district contains more than 100 structures of various ages, designs, and functions. It represents a consolidation of five existing entries on the National Register of Historic Places and the incorporation of adjacent commercial, religious, and governmental structures and grounds to form a historic district at the heart of Missouri's seat of government.
Grace Episcopal Church, 217 Adams Street, 1898. The architectural style of this brick structure combines features of the Gothic and Romanesque revivals. It is in good condition. (pg 6) (1)
