Don't: Use White Decor If You Have Kids or Pets
"If you have pets or children, white rugs and upholstery are just not in the cards. People love the way they look but never realize that you have to hermetically seal your household to keep them clean." —Markham Roberts
Do: Find Inspiration in Your Travels
"Travel as much as you can, and stay on the alert for inspiration wherever you go — you could find a great floor plan in a museum's period room, or a color in a painting. And don't just rely on your camera. If you draw something, you'll really absorb the detail." —DD Allen
Don't: Forget About Seating
"Today everyone likes rooms sparse, but for a living room, you need the sorts of chairs people can pull up together, so that they want to come into the room and sit down and chat." —Paula Perlini
Do: Use Dramatic Color in a Small Space
"Color is best used in small spaces that you pass through. A dramatic color in a room where you're going to be spending a lot of time might feel too heavy or dark, but if you use it in a foyer or pantry, it makes the whole house feel colorful. It also makes the house feel bigger, because it turns a space you might not notice into one that catches your attention." —John Barman
Don't: Be Afraid to Splurge on Great Pieces
"Invest in one great-quality piece. It sometimes hurts in the beginning, but you end up having that piece forever, and it can really carry a room, or even an entire house." —David Kaihoi
Do: Test Paint Colors in a Big Way
"When you test paint colors in a room, make big patches so that you can really see if you need to go darker or lighter. I make mine 3 feet by 3 feet." —Mary Douglas Drysdale
Don't: Ignore Architectural Details
"Respect the architecture of a space. That's not to say you can't be surprising — I might use period furniture in a modern room, but I'll make sure the lines and silhouettes are appropriate. The whole room has to hang together." —Mariette Himes Gomez
Do: Trust Your Instincts
"The late, great Antony Childs once said to me, 'Be true to yourself, and trust your instincts.' We all have different points of view — that's what makes each of us special — and our rooms should be a reflection of that." —David Mitchell
Don't: Make a Room Too Formulaic
"Start a room with a classic furniture layout that's functional, then add in funky pieces to loosen it up, relax it, and keep it from feeling too formulaic." —Thom Filicia
Do: Draw the Eye With an Interesting Piece
"A photographer I worked with taught me the importance of the axial view. When you're looking down a corridor, you want a wonderful object at the end of it to draw you forward — a sculpture, a chandelier, anything to define the space and pull you in." —Nancy Braithwaite
Don't: Go Overboard
"One of my mentors always said, 'Just because you can doesn't mean you should.' Great projects are the ones that show a little restraint." —Heather Hilliard
Do: Pay Attention to Doors and Entrances
"Spend the money to make openings between rooms as high as possible — anything to get away from the standard, squat 7-foot-tall door. It really creates a sense of openness, lightness, and grandeur in a space." —Suzanne Lovell. You may not want to spend huge fortune to decorate the entrance but it’s something you can’t ignore. The best alternate is the application of faux stone panels on the walls associated with area.

Looking down the road you will find you need a second inflation tube. We want to make sure clients could use the bouncer convenient.
Stronger Baffles
Baffles that are secured by a 840 denier material that provides the MAXIMUM strength of the internal baffling of every inflatables. This material upgrade is unmatched by anyone else in the industry. This material is key to the overall durability of the products we sell.
D Ring Expose
Take a close look at the construction of the "d" rings in the products we sell. A tether system is only as strong as its weakest link. Tether points on the inflatable are extremely durable. The "d" ring tethering System have been laboratory-tested and certified by Professional Engineers for use on all giant slides and all other types of inflatables.
Vinyl(PVCTarpaulin) Expose
At Pango Inflatable, the only products we sell are constructed from the finest coated vinyl. Unlike other vinyl producers, the Coated Vinyl are Lead-Free in addition to meeting the EN71 test by SGS. Lead-Free vinyl are a standard that has been that way since day one. Exposure to lead is dangerous to children. The products Pango Inflatable sell are safe from the effects of lead. As for durability, the materials are a weft inserted substrate, which makes any possible rips virtually impossible.
No Wax Surfaces
We provide removable sliding surfaces for every slides we made, While other only provide the normal vinyl, Inflatable vinyl is not naturally slippery, therefore, waxing has become a normal preparation for getting a slide ready for use. The removable sliding surface found the on the products we sell is a high polished urethane coating, which in turn reduces the need to wax.
Zipper with Flaps
Unlike others, Pango Inflatable sells products that are easy to use. For example, the deflation zipper utilizes a Velcro flap that covers the zipper, thus, less air is lost and zippers are not exposed to abrasion or mischief.
Blower Tube Strap
While most manufacturers tie their blower inflation tubes to the blower system, however, the products Pango Inflatable sells, utilizes a universal sleeve with a cinching Velcro strap. One- handed operation keeps the tube securely attached to the blower system.
Liquid Laminator
DWe do the Digital Printing in our factory, unlike most factory here in China, they do the printing outside and could not control the delivery time and the quality. igitally printed graphics are one thing, keeping those beautiful images durable as well scratch and fade resistant is quite another. Every digital image used within an inflatable sold by Pango Inflatable is clear-coated with a special liquid laminate that is vulcanized to the vinyl surface.
Finger-Safe Netting
Most bouncer manufacturers use 1" or 2" netting. A child bouncing can easily catch their fingers in that size of netting, thus serious injuries can happen. Only the Pango Inflatable could provide netting that even a small child's finger cannot penetrate. Yet, the netting is still transparent enough to allow for easy viewing.
Removable Covers
Virtually every area that your customers step, slide or climb upon is on a replaceable & easily removable vinyl cover. From climbing stairs, to entrance tunnel sleeves to sliding surfaces, Pango Inflatable only sells products that are designed for high-volume traffic.
Safety Door on Bouncers
Worried about children possibly falling out of a bouncer? Don't be. We got 3 points of reinforcement on the entrance of the bouncer which make the entrance very strong. Also we add the step outside the entrance following the AU and USA standards of jumping castle.
On-Staff Engineering and Designing
We do reinforce stitching at the fixion of D-ring. Four stitching line will share the tension of the bouncer. This made the D-ring last much longer and stronger. Other factory use other design of the fixion, but will not good for the tension sharing. Could find the differnce in the attached photos.
Cushion Designs
We do cushion between the wall and the base. When the kids bounce on the bouncer this parts bear most of the pressure, so this new design will make this parts much more strong and safety, while other factory only stitch to the base.

The Ulm School of Design was an international center for teaching, development, and research in the field of designing industrial products. Designers were trained in five areas—Industrial Design, Visual Communication, Building, Information, and Film. The program lasted four years, and students graduated with a diploma. Classes were divided into departmental work, which concentrated on the practice of design, and relevant theoretical subjects. Teaching materials and methodologies were developed at the Ulm School for a whole new profession, that of the designer. The ongoing further development of the teaching methods of Ulm has led to an entire model that is still relevant in the teaching of design today.

I've wanted this for ages. It's a set of interviews with various people in the industry, and it's a big, heavy hardback with full-colour printing. Lovely, lovely stuff.

Earth Designs Garden Design and Build were asked to created a landscape and propose garden design in Acton, London*. Here are the details of the project
Brief: The plot for this design was a mid-size family garden, which had recently benefited from the addition of a large sunroom on the back of the property. It was a fairly blank canvas, with nothing of note to be retained in the re-design. The garden had side access and worn boundary fences which required replacing. There was no clear brief other than that the design include a seating area and some lawn, and that the transition from sunroom to garden be fairly seamless.
Solution: The focus of this design was to create an exterior space that serves as an extension to the interior, featuring several distinct and versatile areas that can be adapted to a variety of uses.
The garden's boundaries were replaced with new fencing to provide a uniform and attractive backdrop to the transformation within, while the long sideway down the right of the house was renovated with the addition of attractive 'bamboo' slate tile flooring in a random lay pattern.
The first section of the space comprises a large area of Western Red Cedar decking adjoining the house, and offers ample room for entertaining, with a long L-shaped fixed-bench seat stretching width-ways across the space from the left-hand side to the centre. This was backed with a rendered block raised bed, planted with fragrant lavender and capped with 'bamboo' slate tile, to provide a sense of enclosure and separation from the rest of the garden.
A decked walkway running down the right hand side of the space provides access to a 'spa' area, featuring a large square hot tub housed upon a reinforced paved hard-standing and nestled between existing and additional trees, shrubs and foliage to provide a secluded and intimate area for bathing throughout the seasons. Hidden behind mature and new planting in the bottom left corner, a large shed provides ample storage for the client's garden accessories. The middle of the space has been given over to a large lawn edges with slate.
A purple and yellow planting scheme of soft, cottage-style evergreen shrubs and flowering perennials will help to bring year round lightness and subtle colouring to the space.
After-dark hot tub bathing is enhanced by several strings of pea-lights woven through the existing shrubbery. Deck lights demark the main area of decking and guide one's journey along the decked walkway. Finally, spot lights in the beds highlight certain area while providing a gentle wash throughout the space.
Testimonial: "After months of planning and a full year of having builders everywhere, we had finally got the house into good shape but the garden was a nightmare. It had been somewhat overgrown before the builders moved in, but after a year of being used as a builders yard, it needed shock treatment.
We needed help fast so we searched the web. We were looking for garden designers with creative ideas for smaller London gardens. We didn't want anything too traditional but at the same time, nothing too extreme.
Earth Designs fitted the bill and after a design session with Katrina, we engaged them for the project. They had offered us a design service only, but as we only had a 4 week window in which to complete the job, we gave them the whole project.
We had built a new extension with wide glass doors that opened out into the garden, so the brief to Earth Designs was to "bring the outside, inside" and create a strong link between the new room and the garden beyond. The actual garden space was not large so we wanted to use the space as an extension of the living space - to be an "outside room".
Monday 18th April and three very charming men arrived on our doorstep at 8.0am sharp. Arlo was the project manager, ably aided and abetted by Paul and Phillip. They worked brilliantly as a team and always hit all the deadlines. In particular they did a great job in working with our neighbours to ensure the whole project ran smoothly.
The first week involved clearing the site - no mean feat with 30-year-old ivy stems that looked more like tree trunks.
The second week involved levelling the garden, putting up new fencing, building the corner seating base and planters, plus marking out the garden shape. It was good to be able to make minor changes to the design on the ground at this stage. The hot tub arrived too and was winched into place for connection later.
Week 3 saw the decking and seating built.
Then in week four the turf arrived, the lawn went down and on the last day, Katrina arrived with a truckload of wonderful specimens (and Matt) and we had a wonderful time planting. Ground Force Mk II - a complete garden from start to finish in just 4 weeks!
There were a few things that needed to be sorted out after the main work was complete. Earth Designs were great about coming back until all was complete and finished.
Our thanks to Katrina, Matt, Arlo, Paul and Phillip for a great job, completed on time and on budget with a great looking result."

After having lunch on the top of the mountain, travelers will call on the mysterious village in Gaoyao, namely the Eight Diagrams Village in Huilong Town. Observing from the sky, the houses form into circles in orderness and with beautiful designing, quite like a hat. These houses are built beside mountains and rivers, and have peculiar styles. The major feature of the village is “regard water as connection”, "consider house as the wall”, and “regard stone as foundation”.

Fort Buchanan, PR- Retirees, civilians, Family members and Soldiers were pleasantly surprised to see a very familiar figure greeting them at the Fort Buchanan gates during the week of July 15th, 2013: Soldiers from the 215th Military Police Company.
The Soldiers provided their expertise while supporting to the installation’s Police Services Department during the unit’s annual training.
“It is time to perform sustainable training outside the classroom. Let’s work with the finest police officers from Fort Buchanan” said SFC Victor Labrador, 215th MP, US Army Reserve Puerto Rico, Operations Noncommissioned officer.
During the first five days of the mission, the US Army Reserve-Puerto Rico Soldiers conducted operations in two separate shifts, showcasing their professional skills and polishing their military police training in various capacities from installation access security at the gates, patrolling, traffic laws enforcement, and police dispatch operations, to even Criminal Investigations support with the Directorate of Emergency Services.
“It had been a long time since I last remember being greeted at the gate by a Soldier in uniform. It actually made me smile. I love seeing Soldiers performing the duties that they were brought into the Army to do, and the sense of professionalism, military bearing, and friendliness that these particular soldiers demonstrated were outstanding,” said an unidentified motorist at the entrance gate.
During the second week of the annual training the Soldiers were invited to participate in a certification program conducted by the Puerto Rico State Police Transit Department, where 26 Army Reserve- Puerto Rico troops became legally certified by the State Police Department to install, calibrate, and operate various speed measurement devices “radar systems” currently used inside and outside post to detect vehicles moving at a high rate of speed.
“This training is essential and helps to ensure the readiness of our MPs (military police) when conducting Law & Order missions on post, which operates under the Traffic and Vehicle Laws of Puerto Rico (Law 22),” said Lt. Col. Juan Rodriguez, Law & Order Officer in Charge.
The Soldiers of the 215th Military police Company participated in extensive classroom sessions, hands-on practical exercises with the equipment in a controlled environment, and got to put their knowledge to the test out in the field where they not only had to use the radar equipment to efficiently determine vehicles speeds, but also got to practice real traffic stops.
None of this training would have been possible if it had not been for the initiative of Cpl. Angel Sanchez, a member of the unit.
“He had the idea for the training, brought it forward to his leadership and together we were able to make it happen. The Commander of the unit is very supportive of his Soldiers ideas, and allows them to voice their opinions and really takes everything into consideration when designing the training plan,” said Detachment Sergeant Sgt. 1st Class Paul Morgera.
However the 215th Military Police Company’s Annual Training was not all about hard work and sharpening military police skills.
The troops also took some time to give back to the community. On the final day of the annual training, the Soldiers visited our wounded veterans at the San Juan VA Hospital. There the Soldiers from the largest federal US Army command in the Caribbean, shared some quality time with the patients, listened to their stories, played games with them, and even did some arts and crafts together.
“Some of these wounded veterans don’t have families or anybody to come visit them. They have done a great service to their country and to Puerto Rico, the least we can do is spend some time with them” said the unit Commander, Cpt. Francisco Vargas.
This annual training is the first collective training event conducted by many of the 215th Military Police troops who returned from Afghanistan in 2012.
