Der Entwurf QUARTZ von der Designstudentin Catherine Merrick wurde in diesem Wettbewerb ausgezeichnet. Quarzsand ist einer der wesentlichen Rohstoffe bei der Herstellung von Bleikristallglas. Die funkelnden Oberflächen des Rohstoffes in seiner kristallenen Struktur waren die Inspiration für Catherine Merrick bei der Gestaltung. Durch das außergewöhnliche Dekor der Schale kann sich das Licht im Bleikristall brechen und zaubert dadurch magische Effekte in jedes Ambiente.
