Oakorian - Battle Corps
The Oakorian Battle Corps are the elite divisions of the Oakorian Assault League, but they never go to battle.
The Oakorian homeworld has been at peace for the last 17 million years, so the Battle Corps don't have much to do apart from polish their mechs and eat marmite on toast, with either orange juice or tea.
Each mech pilot comes with his own plush battle hq / sleeping quarters where he spends most of his time on the internet talking to other pilots about what milk they prefer in their hot beverage.
These figure packs will be available on the Tessetoys website - www.tessetoys.com - on Monday 21st of June at 6pm (BST) for £26 each.
Limited to one of each design, the Oakor mech measures in at 10.5cm tall and the pilot at 4cm.
Both figures are cast in resin.
This is my custom Kathie Olivas Hazel entitled "Til the End of the World", which was my contribution to the Zerostigmata Benefit Collective in Naples, Italy, devoted to raising awareness of Sandoff Syndrome. This piece is dedicated to Mattia Fagnoni.
I envisioned this piece to be a haven where Mattia is not suffering and can play to his heart's content. His father built him the ultimate tree house out of an old tree, protected by a cute wood dryad, where he can drink juice, eat sandwiches and read comic books. Mattia also has a secret treasure chest that holds everything that is dear to him inside of it. If you look hard enough, you may find it. Mattia also loves SCC Napoli, his favorite soccer team. His two best friends are Hubert and Cofield, his stuffed bears. Cofield has been naughty so he is strapped to Mattia's trusty boat. Hubert is guarding the sandwiches and snacks. Always on the lookout, Mattia is keeping watch, making sure that the sneaky Wood Octopus doesn't steal his treasure. Hopefully in this piece, Mattia will always play on, til the end of the world.
I used super sculpey, magic sculpt, wood, metal, paper, fabric and craft porcelain.

October Toys gets the award for best micro event at VTN. The Choking Hazard Mini Gwin Custom Show was so small you might have missed it entirely. The 1-inch figures display rivals those kiosks at the mall that promise to write your name on a grain of sand. My eyesight is crap, but I could make out a couple I thought were fun, like a Groucho Marx Gwin. The Choking Hazard show is set to travel, so get your binoculars out of storage. October Toys also had their Christmas Zombies 5-packs on hand.
Next to October Toys, I got to chat a bit with George and Ayleen of Toy Break. They were both super nice, and I’m going to try to make an effort to watch more streaming video, which I can somehow never sit still for. I got caught up extolling the virtues of Pea Soup Andersens for the hungry SF-LA traveller in knowing company and didn’t get a photo of the beard and fuzzy slippers, which are both real. Last photo here is Toy Break’s Matt who was doing live sculpting on the VTN stage for several hours.

pics from fx show @ project vinyl area,On January 26th – 28th, 2007 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, Me Llamo Jellyfish presented “Project Vinyl” at the FX Show. Oversized robots, battle-ready Oni, and Mongo, the World’s Largest Sea-Monkey, were on hand to keep everything in order. The exhibit was made possible with the support of DKE Toys, Jamungo, Popcling, One Day Masterpieces, and My Plastic Heart. Several artists were involved to create the gallery-style environment in the midst of rows of vendors and celebrity guests. These new and established artists included VanBeater from Jamungo, Rick Underwood, Inky, Liz Lorini, Pooka, Terribly Odd, and Shaunmadeus, who also contributed their painting skills to the wall o’ drawings. Whilst this was going on, guests to the area got to bob their heads to the musical stylings of DJs Dion and Juan, or get photographed by the talented Andre Palinkas. The “Short Fuse” show featured more than 30 B.U.D.’s provided by Jamungo and customized by the Me Llamo Jellyfish team and other artists from around the world.

If the economy is in turmoil, you wouldn’t know it from watching the Bic Plastics booth, which kept a steady crowd all day at VTN. Excitement had been building for the new toy company all year, and today was the largest release of several of Bic’s premiere figures. With toys priced from $45-$170, Bic had some of the priciest production pieces at the convention, but urban characters combined with top notch design, QC and packaging–as well as the presence of many of the artists–brought the fans en masse. Marka27, Mike and Mark of Blokhedz, kaNO, and MAD were amicably nonstop signing all manner of toys, sketchbooks and even a PDA. It was great to finally see these pieces in person. Many of them (Sham the Clown) are huge while others (Sketchartis) are heavy. Seriously, toting that David Flores piece around VTN would build a bicep. Besides the signings, Bic had exclusives like a GID version of Killa Instinct, and they were also giving away free posters. I had the opportunity to conversate with one of VTN’s security guards who was standing nearby taking it all in. I sometimes forget that most people think we toy collectors are a bit nuts. The security guard, we’ll call her, Lucy, was shocked that I’d paid $7 for a 2.5-inch Kozik Redrum Qee. I gleefully pointed her attention to the folks dropping mad benjamins at Bic. I tried to explain that these are art pieces–like paintings wrapped around toys–that are now part of museum collections and prestigious international auctions. She nodded in some indication of understanding, but I still think she thinks we’re nuts.
