We celebrated the festival of Dussahara on Thursday, 22nd October 2015. This is one of the festivals of India, which is celebrated with a great pomp and show. The effigies of Ravan, Kumbhkarn and Meghnad were made in our colony with wood, paper and the crackers inside. What a great appearances of effigies were! Big mustaches, big eyes, brilliant colors and a lot more were really creating a great excitement in the minds of the people. The effigies were burnt in the night, which was really a captivating scene. The sounds of crackers were really exhilarating. Besides, the effigies with symbolic representations of corruptions and some other problems prevent in India were also burnt. The festival of Dussahara is celebrated in India as-well-as among the Hindus of other countries is celebrated every year. It is a symbol of victory of kindness over evil.

"Designer’s Note" explores the rapid and profound evolution of graphic design in Türkiye during the late 20th century, focusing on a selection of books. The exhibition looks into a period when cultural publishing gained momentum, foregrounding the graphic designer as a key player. It spans from the 1970s, when the book cover was the primary design element, to the 1990s, when the book was conceived as an integrated design object.
The quilt is from a block of the month from Moda called Piece and Plenty. All the blocks were designed by various Moda fabric designs. I, of course, put my own spin on many of the blocks and the layout of the quilt.
It is big stitch quilted.
It is one of the most fun quilts I have ever worked on.
