Shawn (Xie Zi Xiang) is a 26-year old Taiwanese graphic designer and illustrator living in Taipei. He attended Shu-Te University in Gaoxiong. Shawn uses a variety of techniques and materials, combining both hand-painting and digital painting. His work has an explosive character, and he aims to introduce a rhythmic element to his work. In his free time he likes to paint, film and do some photography.

It spans from the 1970s, when the book cover was the primary design element, to the 1990s, when the book was conceived as an integrated design object.
