It's not just the subject matter that informs my designs. Sketching, playing around with ideas helps the process of developing the design.

For more information about 'creative' me you can visit my website: www.stilelemente.com.au where you will find links to my blog and facebook page as well... the latter of which I would love for you to 'Like'.

This set is where I will share patterns I have designed. Some won't go any further than the pages of a visual diary but some may end up on my paper products or my textiles and homewares.

These 'pages from a visual diary' are actually from one of my uni subjects and date back to 2001 but I'm finding that many seeds were planted then that are starting to sprout now... so stay tuned as new designs are developed.

Now that I have started my own business I am thinking about design more than ever, particularly in regards to repeat patterns for my textile yardage (hand screen-printed onto organic base-cloth) but even just to use in any context.

My product range will develop over time as will my own design style. I am currently enjoying experimenting with ideas, possibly trying to define my style (or that of the business) so I'm trying out new things and will see how they are received...
