This residential project is located within a grade II listed building in the Queens Gate conservation area in Kensington. Brompton Cross Construction was named the main contractor for this project which involved a full soft strip demolition, renovation and restoration of all masonry and timber surfaces. The M.E.P services have been replaced and upgraded to bring the apartment up to date. The original listed interior items such as the plaster cornices and ceiling roses have been fully restored back to their former glory.
Trying to figure out how big a building platform we actually have on our new site, after following rules around set backs.
This ongoing project is nearing completion. Consisting of the renovation of three floors, totalling over 500 sq meters of commercial space into four bespoke apartments and a renovation of new courtyard.
This project also involved structural strengthening, basement waterproofing, new mansard roof and windows.
The barn in Newbern, AL that William Christenberry has returned to year after year to photograph, paint and model. I had, by complete chance, discovered Christenberry's work in an exhibition at the American Art Museum in Washington DC en route to Alabama.
