An ambigram is a typographic drawing that can be interpreted in two ways. These three ambigrams were made in collaboration with Autobahn for the exposition ‘Don’t Believe The Type’ in 2009. The words enemy, hate and digital can be read as friends, love and analog after a 180 degrees turn. To give a glimpse of the design progress we also added some sketches. There’s also a photo made during the exposition where other typographic heroes like Alex Trochut, Hansje van Halem, Job Wouters, Luca Barcellona, Underware and Yomar Augusto were participating.

By having build an Esher-looking construction we wanted to create a world of thoughts and ideas. This world isn’t exactly logical and it can be hard to find each other. Reconcilement isn’t always without doubt. The whole world exists of philosophic lyrics and quotes by different writers and thinkers.
