Create a black-and-white cinematic portrait of a young girl sitting barefoot on a worn wooden porch beside an old barn. She hugs her knees close, long patterned skirt gathered beneath her, bracelets stacked on her wrists. A daisy-flower headband rests in her hair, framing her shy, mischievous smile. Soft natural light falls across her face, highlighting freckles and innocence. Tall grass and weathered wood textures surround her, evoking a nostalgic, rural summer mood. Add subtle grain and depth-of-field blur for vintage realism, as though captured on film. The image should feel intimate, quiet, and filled with unspoken stories.

This photo was taken of a wall on a Holiday Inn in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I always struggle with a couple of colors with my camera - orange and purple. This shot, then, was me practicing trying to control the color, bringing out the wall's contrast and depth.
PROCESSING NOTE:
Even though it turned out well on my computer, once I transferred this from PS5 to web, 300 dpi to 72 dpi, it still looked accurate. But each time I uploaded it to Flickr, the lighter colors keep morphing into the greyish/white you see here - UGH.
I have a large collection of small pieces of fake plants that I have surreptitiously collected from the floors of various craft stores where they had fallen from larger items.
O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom
and knowlage of God! how unsearchable
are his judgements, and his ways past finding
out! For who hath known the mind of the Lord?
or who hath been his counsellor? Or who
hath first given to him, and it shall be
recompensed unto him again? For of him,
and through him, and to him, are all things:
to whom be glory for ever. Amen

Walking around aimlessly in the middle of the woods has been quite therapeutic for me. I spend large amounts of time in nature because the air feels so fresh, and the wind feels so clean. I also love going places where society isn't present. Where I can just sit without speaking any words, but let so many travel through my mind. Where nothing really matters but my Self being.
