Last Saturday, in the parking lot of a shopping center, we were amazed by this birch tree which had rooted itself amongst the rocks! Yesterday I spoke with a dear friend who is persisting in his growth process and has recently been uprooted from his home. His persistence and perserverance remind me so much of this metaphorical image.

Hey folks . . . yes, can you tell I am aching for Spring! Tomorrow the SUN is supposed to return!
Hip HIp Horray! This afternoon our Christmas tree finally made it out to the back yard as a temporary perch for the birds.
This particular orchid is actually getting two more buds now, which is exciting for me as I've not done anything special to care for this plant since it lost its blossoms about 9 months ago!

What can I say?
Have you ever gone somewhere you didn't want to go but went anyway?
Shopping malls and casinos are two places I abhor....however, if the rare occasion presents itself and I get stuck, my camera automatically looks up at the ceilings!
On this particular evening I saw lion tails on this column in a place I will mention in my tags during the next few days! Any guesses?
This definitely was not an environment that attracted what I would call a "nature crowd" . . . so I used my imagination and actually enjoyed some of the architecture!

There were many gifts, lessons, delights and disappointments this past weekend. This image is a wonderful visual journaling piece for me today . . . sometimes the "gifts" don't present themselves as such, and are actually lessons in disguise.
