The building to the right is Carliol House and it is to be spared demolition. It was built in 1924 and for many years was the headquarters of the North-Eastern Electricity board.

* This village does not exist anymore. It was completely demolished for the lignite mine "Garzweiler II".
A digger removes the final fragment of this former Victorian gasholder's telescopic rising container structure, in readiness for clearing the interior and laying the foundations of a new circular apartment block (part of the 'Broadway East' development designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners) which is due to be built within the iron frame.
This is one of the former Bethnal Green gasholders which stands alongside the Regent's Canal.

This charming little house has been scheduled for demolition, guess they're going to put a parking garage or something there.

Because Simon Liu built a demolition derby car at my suggestion, I guess I'll build one too.
I have friends and family that do demolition derbies during the season, so I get some up close and personal looks with their cars, before and after they are hit. Most of them are 70's beaters, with the hood cut open to reveal an engine. I didn't choose to have an open hood though.
This car is practically brand new. Most cars have every side bashed up, but this one only has the side doors and the back. Some cars have wheels blown off or crunched cabins. If I was in a demolition derby, this would be my car.

Council approved a Contract Award (CA) of $2,662,046 to Fraser River Pile & Dredge to replace the east pier at Fraser River
Foreshore Park. The work includes demolition and removal of the existing pier and construction of the new pier including piling,

I assume that it is demolition Derby but I need Randy's concurrence. Suddenly I keep finding wrecks like this.

A couple of months back, a charity organization had a part of the groundfloor as a kitchen and a refuge for homeless.
All gone now, but the homeless unfortunately.
