Anybody who ever chanted “Lock Her Up” ought to be seriously ashamed. This obsession with Hilary Clinton, who lost, is completely absurd, when Donald Trump may be the single most corrupt President in modern history.

Twelve days before the election, Trump clearly, illegally bought the silence of a prostitute and a playboy bunny who could have damaged his chances for victory. During the campaign, he brazenly asked the Russian Government to hack the email servers of his opponent, which it did, while his operatives diligently worked behind the scenes to make it happen. Once in office, he fired his FBI Director who refused to shut down the investigation into Russian election meddling, in which it’s becoming more and more clear he played a significant part.

In just two years, five members of his campaign team have been convicted or plead guilty to criminal charges. Another six resigned or were forced to resign over a variety of ethics violations and another five are still in office despite abusing tax payer funds, refusing to divest from conflicts of interest and violating the Hatch Act that bars government employees from participating in government funded political activity.

Donald Trump and the Republican party are institutionalizing corruption at the highest levels of government. They are demonizing the free press and attempting to rig our elections through voter suppression, big money and gerrymandering. These are the tactics of fascist dictators.

Any other President would have already been removed from office, but Trump survives because of cowardly, corrupt Republicans like Mitch Mcconnell and Lindsey Grahm that control our congress. Perhaps, the only saving grace is that Mike Pence is not President.

Democracy must be built through open societies that share information. When there is information, there is enlightenment. When there is debate, there are solutions. When there is no sharing of power, no rule of law, no accountability, there is abuse, corruption, subjugation and indignation.

Today Australia votes.

So a reminder that this is the day you should make your voice heard, and make it count.

Because of Preferential voting, you can't waste your vote in Australia.

And it's likely, that whatever your political views, it aligns closer to one of the minor parties rather than the majors.

So do you research, vote accordingly.

Because democracy works best when it is diverse and we find consensus.

Make your voice heard.
