For me it goes without saying that when you combine the words "guilt" and "pleasure" in one phrase, it's all about food! And given that I never feel guilty about any and all amounts of chocolate I may consume, there are other culinary pleasures that I am ashamed to indulge in, but do so regardless... ;D
So this is my contribution to Macro Mondays' theme of "Guilty Pleasures" for this week, and rest assured that I did indeed eat it all and feel very guilty about it afterwards, but as a real soldier, I took one for the team! ;D :D :D

This 1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe caught my eye as it rolled past the onlookers that lined Springfield’s streets. This weekend was the 100th anniversary of the naming of Route 66, and the celebration was bigger and better than ever! It commemorated the historic meeting where the name "Route 66" was proposed, making Springfield the official birthplace of the highway.
I had one of these in pastel green back in the mid 70s … I’m not sure what, exactly, was ‘deluxe’ about it but it was the most unreliable four-wheeler I ever bought. However, the reverse raked rear window was famed for keeping itself clean.

I spotted this beauty after dropping off my Grandson at school. I had to do a quick shot but hopefully it will be back there so I can catch a different angle.

The end of 2016 ... deluxe exit ... Happy New Year everybody!

There was only the light from the neon signs to provide a reference for framing ... I sat the camera on a concrete wall and let the technology decide the exposure. I used f13 to try and make sure both signs were in focus. Not fine art but fun to do nonetheless. I like the 'mottled' look of the noise and the strange colours that resulted from the peculiar light.
