It’s sad to say but I have to... Bye flea market with all its entertainments... Bye amazing Delft. My time here is over. Just last look at flea market and beautiful city, I didn’t have a time to show you all its wonders... but I have to go away... The road calls me forward, to the “second capital” of Netherlands... to The Hague or Den Haag in Dutch...

Delft, a canal-ringed city in the western Netherlands, is known as the manufacturing base for Delftware, hand-painted blue-and-white pottery. In its old town, the medieval Oude Kerk is the burial site of native son and Dutch Master painter Johannes Vermeer. Once the seat of the royal House of Orange, the 15th-century Nieuwe Kerk houses the family's tombs and overlooks Delft's lively market square.

One passes this gate on the way into Delft itself. It's the East Gate, built around 1400.
It is the only remaining gate in Delft - the others being removed in the 1860s. This one had less traffic at the time.
It was restored in the 1960s.
Sinds 25 augustus 2019 verzorgt EBS het openbaar vervoer in de concessie Haaglanden Streek. De oude lijn 55 van Delft naar Zoetermeer Centrum-West is op die dag vervangen door R-net lijn 455

Since 25 August 2019 EBS takes care of the public transport in the Haaglanden Region franchise. De old route 55 from Delft to Zoetermeer Centrum-West has been replaced by R-net route 455.
EBS 5117 has just departed from stop Krakeelpolderweg in Delft working this route to Zoetermeer.
