FORT INDIANTOWN GAP, Pa. -- State and Federal delegates visited the Northeast Counterdrug Training Center’s facilities at Fort Indiantown Gap on May 2. Highlights of the tour included a stop at the High Risk Entry Facility where the delegates witnessed training exercises through the closed-circuit monitoring system. Delegates also enjoyed a presentation and demonstration in the polygraph training area. The Northeast Counterdrug Training Center is one of five National Guard Counterdrug Training Centers and has trained more than 100,000 law-enforcement, community-based organization, and military personnel since its opening in 1998. On Wednesday, the delegates traveled to the YMCA Anthony Bowen to participate in panel and fitness sessions. After a tour of the facilities, they participated in boxing and aerial yoga. Following the physical activity, leaders from the YMCA of Metro Washington led a panel discussion and Q&A session with delegates. In the evening the delegates all joined together to watch the Women's Sports Foundations Awards show to celebrate the achievements of other great sportswomen.
