Def Leppard
Walk away if you want to
It's ok, if you need to
Well, you can run, but you can never hide
From the shadow that's creeping up beside you
And, there's a magic running through your soul
But you can't have it all
Whatever you do I'll be two steps behind you
Wherever you go and I'll be there to remind you
That it only takes a minute of your precious time
To turn around and I'll be two steps behind
Take the time to think about it
Walk the line, you know you just can't fight it
Take a look around and see what you can find
Like the fire that's burning up inside me
And there's a magic running through your soul
But you can't have it all
Whatever you do I'll be two steps behind you
Wherever you go and I'll be there to remind you
That it only takes a minute of your precious time
To turn around and I'll be two steps behind
And there's a magic running through your soul
But you, you can't have it all
Whatever you do I'll be two steps behind you
Wherever you go and I'll be there to remind you
That it only takes a minute of your precious time
To turn around and I'll be two steps behind
Yeah baby, two steps behind
Oh sugar, two steps behind

I took this photo yesterday afternoon / evening, on my way back from Canberra as I sat on seat 24A. I saw the sunrise as I left Brisbane, saw the sunset as I returned. The winglets of the Virgin Blue Embraer 190 next to the sun in the distance. After a very long day, it was nice to get this kind of reward.
Why this photo?
I reckon that being on a plane is such a helpless situation. There's just about nothing you can do about anything in there. (Except maybe if you want to eat something or go to the bathroom, or something like that I guess). But otherwise, this kind of view makes you see (literally and otherwise) things from another perspective.
Why this song?
Def Leppard, reminds me of the 80s, reminds me of high school in Colombia, even if this song in particular wasn't 80s. But it reminds me of when my brother would listen to this band, or watch their videos, and he'd repeat them and repeat them. Ayayayay... but still like them, that must mean something. So this song? It's not "Love Bites", it's not "Hysteria", but it's a nice message to give... and it's always been on my playlist.

Rick Savage drawing colored in GIMP this came about fooling around with my brushes and playing with the filters (you can find brushes for GIMP on deviantArt)
For those of you who haven't met yet - this is Bonn - My love.
Tried tonight to use a shoot through umbrella to get a silhouette, failed miserably and finally hung a tablecloth over a doorway with a flash behind it. I think the lesson is that the cloth is flat, but an umbrella is curved, so it blasts light EVERYWHERE (didn't even work in the garden since I thought the light was bouncing off the walls inside). If anyone knows the science I am interested.
From a learning strobism perspective, I know that the reason for so much light wrapping round is that we were so close to the cloth, but the logistics of a 50mm prime, and a limited size doorway didn't give much room.
