Day 92 (October 3rd, 2010)

Title: Remembrance

I know we have days like "Veteran's Day" and "Memorial Day", which are great to help remember those who have fought in wars, but sometimes its nice to just remember folks (warrior or not) on just a random Tuesday (or any day really). So, the next time you have a free moment, think about your history and who helped build it. Think about those who came before you and what part they took in creating the legacy that you are now living in. Perhaps you can also think about what part you will play for the next generation. Think about how what actions you can do to help those tomorrow remember those from yesterday.

Ok, I admit, that last line was a bit "fortune-cookie", but still, its not a bad thought!

I think what was frustrating to see a lot of good people go. You don't picture it, you don't imagine it, don't think it could happen. When it does, you are puzzled.

"If I lived back in the Wild West days, instead of carrying a six-gun in my holster, I'd carry a soldering iron. That way, if some smart-aleck cowboy said something like, "Hey look. He's carrying a soldering iron!" and started laughing, and everybody else started laughing, I could just say, "That's right, it's a soldering iron. The soldering iron of justice." Then everybody would get real quiet and ashamed, because they made fun of the soldering iron of justice, and I could probably hit them up for a free drink. " - Jack Handy

Millennials views on being in the church have swayed so differently than baby boomers. The question is, why has the institution of church made millennials shy away from religion, even though they are spiritual?

Comment your feelings on spirituality and religion, we’d love to...

From the green of new life, to the decomposition of old life, to the wavy reflection of memory, thus is the natural course of things.

Gate's open, cross is in the end of the path.

Simple, but not easy.

This is the hillside I've been walking up every morning this semester, between Roberts Hall and Spragins Hall. I never realized it before, but it's really one of the prettier spots on campus.
