This is a close-in view of the tadpole "swarm" at the park. This picture was taken June 9th - 4 weeks after we first saw the tadpoles, and 3 weeks after we took ours home.

This shows our two different 'batches' of tadpoles. The one at the bottom has teeny tiny back legs.

We're raising toad tadpoles, found in a nearby construction pond. It's hard to tell from this (blurry and not so great) photo, but we seem to have tadpoles from two different hatchings - they are different sizes, plus the smaller ones are behind when it comes to metamorphosis. Notice how the one on the left has the hind legs already, while the other one does not.
