I told her to uplift her heart and that a young woman such as herself ought to turn her mind to topics more cheerful and inspiring than whatever she was thinking about. Look around yourself, at the magnificence of nature. It should inspire joy and awe Reverence. Respect. and Beautiful thoughts. She look at me and said "But I was daddy, I was thinking of granddad in heaven."

this was for class. we had to let paint names inspire images. only after we completed the images, and after we all suffered multiple yellow jacket stings, we found out it was deep cow's lip. hahahaha. Deep Cowslip 3 sounded like the cheesiest 70's horror film ever.

Such a good colour in the Western sky after sunset this evening.

I took some photos at a concert of a band from my hometown called Fireball - A Tribute to Deep Purple. Used two Yongnuo YN-560. One on stage behind the musicians and one placed on the left front side of the stage. It's a lot more fun if you can switch between natural light shots and using the two Yn-560.
I decided to do all the processing as split toning or simple black and white because the different colours from the stage light, the flash or the lights on the ceiling made most of the shots look very weird. I liked the split toning preset that Lightroom offered me the most and so I only took a few adjustments.
Concerts are a really great opportunity to take many photos. Feel free to add comments.

Part of the regeneration of Hull, The Deep has become an internationally recognised landmark and has even featured on a Royal Mail stamp.
