Youngest sister Eliza is shortly turning 18 and went out to The Bite at Dee Why for a family dinner.
After our last few days of wet weather, we took advantage of a sunny day today and went for a drive to the Northern beaches. We stopped at Dee Why for lunch (fish and chips - yum) and this cheeky seagull hopped onto the seat opposite and poked his head above the table. He kept looking at us and then it became too much for him and he jumped up onto the table.

a beautiful winter's day.
Amazing that spiders just shed their skin the way they do. Not sure if all spider species moult, but I found this almost perfect shell of what could be a huntsman dangling from a reed, hairy legs and all. It must have attached itself to the reed and used it to lever itself out.

Sunrise saw me taking a walk up the northern end of the beach, Long Reef Beach. The waves were big, and there were a lot of surfers out in the water. So i couldnt resist paying a visit to Dee Why rock pool to watch the waves (and surfers) go past.
