I went up to Dee Why beach this morning for a run and afterwards took the camera out. I love overcast weather for the moodiness of the shots, sadly the waves weren't the best so no dramatic surf shots today :)
This is from the south end looking up towards Long Reef.
i thought i would keep to the same theme as my last photo (and there really were not any other almost decent ones to post). These people looked so relaxed and tranquil which was in stark contrast to the storm that came through only a couple of hours before.
Seems to be some unusual ant activity today, with a number of ants seemingly carrying dead ants away from the nest. It is possible they have died in the nest and are now considered waste items. This side on view clearly shows the nodes that join the body to the abdomen
Sydney is being hit by the remnants of Tropical Cyclone Oswald, bringing torrential rain and gale force winds. And big ocean swells. This is at Dee Why Baths.

Summer is behind us, and the air has a distinct chill to to it. Easter Monday saw crowds enjoying the last of the summer sun before the autumn and winter make beach going unpleasant. To see and witness the last of the summer sun this year I visited Dee Why Beach one of Sydney's northern beaches.

Got caught in the rain and took this shot while sheltering next to the toilets. Note to myself, never do that again. Nearly passed out from the stink.
