Stone sculptural decorations at the entrance to the New Jerusalem Monastery. City of Istra. Moscow region. Russia.
May be it is a derelict, but the owner decided to decorate the entrance of his property with two large shrub pots.
A good idea or a waste?
You decide.

for Looking Close...on Friday!
I don't have any Halloween decorations, but my daughter's family is totally into it. The girls helped out by choosing the pumpkin stencil they wanted. Sweet little 3 yr old Emmie insisted on the one in the middle!! The trio are lined up on their front steps. I'd say my SIL is quite the master carver - HLCoF!
Crazy Tuesday theme: Christmas Decorations
My husband found this toilet plunger and yes we bought it to decorate the bathroom. So I thought it would be perfect for the Crazy Tuesday theme this week. Enjoy!

Crazy Tuesday theme: December Decorations
We create a little village for our gingerbread candy houses each year.
Thank you everyone for your kind comments and favs. All are greatly appreciated. HCT Merry Christmas!
"It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!". All of our decorations are up as we inch closer to Christmas! I bought a pack of these red bulbs back in my college days for my small tree in my dorm room, I still have them to this day and hang them every year!
We have a small house so all of our decorations are 'bijou' including my nativity scene which sits on the mantel piece. You'll notice I take liberty with the scene and include my angel cats. My favourite decoration is my Krampus cat (top left) and the oldest is the tiny paper, orange bird which is 40 years old.
For the Smile on Saturday group - theme "Christmas Collage"
Wishing you all a very merry Christmas
The East Penn was working Pocopson with the WN-12 job from Coatesville on a beautiful day.
The trackside veterinary office is breaking tradition with every other place by actually putting up Thanksgiving decorations in early November rather than rushing things with Christmas decorations.
My attempt at the "Smile on Saturday" theme "get in the festive mood".
There are lots of things which help getting me into a festive mood: Watching my kids open their advent calendar, playing and building stuff with them, singing together, food, decorations, lights... However one important thing is having time for some walks to photograph outside. Because everything's so barren at that time of the year (without snow), I have to sharpen my eyes... and this in turn helps me to appreciate the little things, like these christmas decorations, Nature provides us with when light of the evening sun hits them.
I love things like that and they do get me in a festive mood!
